Electronic Catalogues

Electronic catalogues can be an important sales tool, and can, in terms of ease of use, compete with traditional solutions, such as the printing of multipage catalogues or recording video casettes.

The reason for this development is that the information in a catalogue should always be up to date and exhaustive, and their distribution and updating should be easy and cheap. Mutlimedia programmes, when combined with databases on CD-ROM disks, offer solutions that are especially well suited for such a purpose.

The models of the products needed and detailed data can be found quickly, in an objective way, according to the defined criteria. Furthermore, the CD-ROM application can be integrated with an Internet component, which allows for the updating of the original databases if the company changes the features of some of their products, or their pricing scheme. Both of the databases - online and offline ones - can be offered in multiple language versions, which greatly diminishes the costs of distribtuion of information, especially in a global setting.

Enrichment of the electronic catalogue, by inclusion of multimedia components, always works in favour of the company, since the clients obtain an opportunity to carefully acquaint themselves with all the aspects of the product, and can also share opinions of other users.

Our projects for Elektrim (electric motors) and Sanitec Koło (bathroom ceramics of Sanitec Group), which included product databases and electronic catalogues of the products (leaflets, data sheets, drawings and models), form a good basis on which to prepare an electronic catalogue solution for your company.

It should be pointed out that a natural direction for the evolution of an electronic catalogue is towards the construction of a supporting electronic trade platform for the company's products or services. This can be obtained by an effective integration of the electronic catalogue and application the customer already uses to process orders - and if such facilities are initially absent, we can develop add-on electronic trade components for the catalogue.
